PROF. AVV. FRANCESCO BORDIGA
Francesco Bordiga was born in Milan on 28 July 1981.
In October 2004, he graduated from the Università Statale di Milano with a Law Degree, with a thesis in commercial law and a grade of 110/110 cum laude.
In April 2010 he obtained his doctorate in national and international commercial law from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano.
From 2004 to 2012 he worked at the law firm Portale-Visconti in Milan, in particular with Prof. Avv. Giuseppe Portale, in the areas of corporate law, banking law, arbitration and commercial contracts.
He has been a member of the Milan Bar Association since April 2009 and is qualified to represent clients before the higher courts.
In June 2015, together with Avv. Giuseppe Xerri, he founded the law firm Bordiga-Xerri. Prof. Avv. Francesco Bordiga has extensive experience in complex corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions and structured finance, including so called special situations, as well as representing clients in significant disputes relating to the liability of corporate officers, challenges to shareholders’ resolutions, conflicts between shareholders and disputes relating to banking relationships and financing agreements. In the non-litigation area, he regularly assists in the ordinary and extraordinary activities (including participation in board meetings as consultant or non-executive director) of industrial companies, regulated financial institutions and companies with shares listed on the regulated markets of Borsa Italiana S.p.A.
He teaches courses in industrial law and commercial law at the Università degli Studi di Bergamo.
He regularly attends the Institut für ausländisches und internationales Privat- und Wirtschaftsrecht der Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg.
He is the author of numerous academic publications in the field of corporate and commercial law.
